More Than 40 Alumni Enterprises Offer Jobs to GDUT Graduates

On July 3, Li Zhenxian, director of the Student Career Guidance Center of GDUT, and three distinguished guests from GDUT-enterprises visited the ‘Livestream Chatting Studio’ and offered advice to graduates on job seeking from a unique perspective based on their rich career experience. The Alumni Association of GDUT released the recruitment information of more than 40 outstanding alumni enterprises on live.

Albeit the outbreak of the epidemic, the employment rate of some majors has exceeded 80%.

GDUT now ranks 268 in the world and 45 in China according to the USNews 2020 Best Global Universities (Engineering). Five disciplines are listed in the top 1% of ESI, and every year, more than 10,000 innovative and entrepreneurial talents are trained to support industrial development. The employment rate and employment quality of graduates from GDUT have been among the top universities in the Guangdong province.

In the live broadcast, Li Zhenxian introduced the overall employment situation of the graduates in GDUT. In 2020, there are a total of 10,338 graduates, including 8,309 undergraduates and 2,029 postgraduates. Currently, the graduates majoring in mechanical and electrical engineering, automation, civil engineering, transportation, energy, computer science, information and other engineering majors have obtained more job opportunities, and the employment rate of some majors has made a lead breakthrough of 80%. Meanwhile, the training of new engineering talents promotes high-quality employment, among which the average monthly salary of graduates from Robot Union College and Integrated Circuit Design Union College of Guangdong and Hong Kong is more than 10,000 RMB.
