The student affairs of the School of Materials and Energy, Guangdong University of Technology, are closely related to the central affairs of the university and school, adhering to the philosophy of "student-oriented, truth-seeking and innovative", respecting each students’ individual needs, and promoting their self-development. Following the principle "promoting excellent academic performance and strengthening engineering education", the student affair‘s main objective are the service and support towards to the growth and success of students. The most important things are the ideological and political education, "the beauty of machinery" engineering quality education, construction of academic style, student employment, entrance education for freshman, student science and technology, characteristic cultural and sports activities, as well as the construction of student work team. We should make more efforts to innovate the working methods, improve the work standards of the team, enhance the long-term mechanism, and realize a healthy and sustainable development of student affairs.
