On March 22nd, a delegation of five, including Zhang Hongwei, Deputy Director of the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, visited our school for research and exchange. Chen Liangyou, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the university, Yang Xiaofan, School Party Secretary, Zhao Yu and Sun Zhipeng, Vice Deans of the school, as well as several faculty representatives participated in the research activities. Zhang Hongwei pointed out that Guangzhou has a solid foundation in the new materials industry, which has developed well in recent years and has initially formed a relatively complete new materials industrial system. However, during the high-quality development process of industrial transformation and upgrading, there are still some bottlenecks that restrict development and urgently need to be resolved. The School of Materials and Energy at Guangdong University of Technology possesses a well-equipped faculty and research facilities. This visit and research also aimed at further strengthening communication and cooperation between the local government and universities, helping to promote the organic integration of industrial advantages with university research achievements and talent resources for mutual benefit and win-win results. The Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology will continue to enhance services, collaborate with universities to leverage the advantages of research platforms, pool resources and elements, and promote the high-quality development of the new materials industry.

   Chen Liangyou extended his welcome to the delegation led by Zhang Hongwei and introduced the basic situation of the university. He pointed out that the visit and exchange by the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology to our university was a concrete measure to implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and to gain a deep understanding of the actual situation at the grassroots level. As a key provincial university, Guangdong University of Technology has always adhered to the educational philosophy of "Growing Together with the Rise of Guangdong and Contributing to its Development," continuously leveraging its own advantages to serve local economic and social development. The university's educational strength, social influence, and international reputation have been steadily increasing. Chen hoped that this research visit would serve as an opportunity to deepen exchanges and cooperation, fully leveraging the government's resources and policy advantages alongside the university's talent and disciplinary strengths for deep integration, in order to contribute to the high-quality development of Guangdong.

   During the meeting, Zhao Yu introduced the basic situation of the school, while Professor Sun Zhipeng and Professor Shi Zhicong focused on presenting the research progress in battery materials of our school. Both parties also conducted in-depth exchanges on related issues and future development directions within the battery materials industry. Following the meeting, Zhang Hongwei and his delegation also visited experimental center and related laboratories of our school.
