To guide students to pay attention to mental health and spiritual growth, encourage them to accept imperfections, reject mental exhaustion, and break free from spiritual shackles, while enriching their after-school life, on the evening of April 12th, Qingyuan Psychological Counseling Station of the School of Materials and Energy organized a "Mind Movie Screening Room" Event in Room 202 of Teaching Building No. 4.

The movie "Good Will Hunting" was screened, which tells the story of Will, a genius who is exceptionally intelligent but rebellious, even going so far as to get into fights and cause trouble everywhere, ultimately being sentenced by a youth court to a youth detention center. Math professor Lambeau, recognizing the untamed genius in Will, bails him out of the detention center and asks him to regularly study mathematics and receive psychological counseling. While Will easily tackles mathematical problems, he is particularly resistant to psychological counseling until he meets Professor Sean, a psychological counseling expert. Through Sean's efforts, their initial confrontation transforms into a mutually inspiring friendship, enabling Will to open up his heart, step out of the shadows of loneliness, and achieve self-realization.

The Mind Cinema event attracted numerous students, who eagerly engaged in an interactive Q&A session after watching the movie. They shared their understanding of the film: it was because both Professor Sean and Will had childhoods they didn't want to face that they could resonate on a spiritual level. Sean repeatedly and emotionally told Will, "It's not your fault," which completely dismantled Will's defenses and freed him from the shackles of his mind. This Mind Cinema event enhanced students' awareness of mental health care, encouraged them to explore their own spiritual worlds, and created a positive and uplifting atmosphere.
