Abstract:
In the context of the rapid development of the energy internet towards the "dual carbon" goals, the concepts of a battery's "happiness index" and "hierarchy of needs" are proposed. Achieving "dense energy storage" by miniaturizing batteries to overcome the "space anxiety" faced by intelligent terminals is the inevitable path to enhancing the battery's happiness index. The report will analyze the importance of dense energy storage and the theoretical foundation and practical advantages of using graphene for this purpose. Based on the "mass line" approach in graphene research, the research team's thinking on dense energy storage will be presented. The focus will be on research progress in achieving stable cycling of micron-sized silicon/carbon anodes through a graphene capillary contraction strategy, leading to high volumetric energy density lithium-ion batteries.
