To further implement the national strategy of strengthening the country through talent development, deepen the practice of fostering talents through scientific and technological innovation, enhance the atmosphere of scientific research and innovation, allow more students to experience the mystery and power of scientific research and innovation, and exercise students' critical thinking abilities, our school successfully held the Academic and Technology Festival Competition on June 24th in Room 227 of Engineering Building 3.
Since the launch of the Technology Festival Competition in April 2023, our school has carefully organized and mobilized the event, receiving active participation from teachers and students. After initial student applications, preliminary selections by the school, and further reviews, 12 projects were ultimately selected to compete in the finals, including three categories: natural science academic papers, social survey reports and academic papers in philosophy and social sciences, and technological inventions and creations. To ensure the success of the competition, the Youth League Committee of the school, based on the project applications, provided guidance and cultivation for the 12 finalists. During the finals, relevant professors from the school were invited to conduct professional evaluations and provide guidance for the participating projects. The finals were divided into several stages, including final display, online defense, and comments by judges. Each participating team comprehensively presented their project background, technical advantages, and development prospects through PPTs, videos, or model displays. During the defense session, the contestants from each team had clear thinking and actively showcased the strengths of their projects. From their answers, one could fully appreciate the students' solid professional knowledge and unique insights into academic research. The evaluation experts reviewed the projects based on their advancement, practicality, scientific nature, and practical significance, offering suggestions for the shortcomings of the projects and pointing out directions for further refinement and improvement of each team's project.
This competition has laid a solid foundation for students to participate in academic innovation contests, greatly motivating their enthusiasm for engaging in disciplinary competitions. With the support of the college and the guidance of teachers, we believe our students will achieve excellent results in future scientific and technological innovation activities.
