报告摘要：
随着公众对食品安全重视程度的不断提高及公共卫生水平的不断改善, 对食品检测及医疗诊断的要求也愈来愈高。各种高性能生物传感器也应运而生, 但是也遇到了许多瓶颈。智能材料广泛用于传感器,驱动器,和换能器是现代工程技术的基础。高性能智能材料的研发为高性能生物传感器的发展提供了机遇。本报告以生物传感器的发展为例,简述了智能材料的应用及其相应的参数考量。探讨了生物传感器进一步发展的趋势。并对此磁致伸缩基生物传感器的设计,制备,和表征进行了深入的讨论。
报告人简介：
Porf.Zhong-Yang Cheng was born in Shaanxi,China in December 1962. He received hisB.S. in physics and his M.S. and Ph.D. degreesin Electronic Materials and Engineeringfrom Xian Jiaotong University, China in1983, 1988, and 1995, respectively. He is currentlya Professor in Materials Engineering, and Assistant Director of Detection and Food Safety Centerat the Auburn University, USA. Before joining AuburnUniversity in 2002,he worked at the Pennsylvania State University as a Research Associate. Even earlier, Prof. Cheng worked at Heinrich-Hertz-Institute inBerlin, Germany for one year and in theDepartment ofPhysics at the University ofPuerto Rico for one and half years. His research interests are instructure-property studies ofvarious functional materials and theapplication studies ofthese materials, e.g. bio-sensors. He has published more than100 peer-reviewed journal articles, over 100 conference proceedings, 5 US patents, 4 book chapters, and 7 edited books. He has also got lots of awards, i.e., 3M Faculty Award, Faculty Research Award. He is a member ofEditorial Board of 4 international journals.
